It's official.....Barack Obama has been elected President of the United States.
I'm absolutely thrilled, not to mention incredibly proud.

Now start performing miracles and walking on water.
Those are my expectations from him given what has transpired in the past two years of his campaign.
Time to get past the celebrations and quit patting ourselves on the back - there's a lot of work for him to do and a lot of promises to fulfill. We'll see.
He has a chance to EARN my vote in 2012. Can he do it? Time will tell.
I just hope, considering the magnitude of what his predecessor left for him, that we don't expect miracles. He never once indicated that he could fix this mess without a lot of time and a lot of help. If he can't do it alone, and in one term, it isn't because he didn't forewarn us. But, at least he's going to give it his best shot and I, for one, believe things WILL be improved a great deal during his time in office.
