Today is my sister's 20th wedding anniversary. I can't believe that much time has passed, until you consider that, on the day they married:
* Ronald Reagan was the President of the United States, and George H.W. Bush was the V.P.
* Bush was running for President himself, with a newcomer-from-nowhere named Dan Quayle. Everyone thought it was a crazy pick at the time. Until they won.
* A first class stamp cost 22 cents.
* Music CDs outsold vinyl records for the first time.
Lots of history between then and now. It's great to see a happy couple still going strong, two decades later.

I texted Curt this morning wishing them a happy anniversary. For some reason, it just popped into my head and I remembered. Then I offered mass or them.

I also will offer Mass for your recently celebrated 17th wedding anniversary. I didn't forget that. I'm just a little slow sometimes. But tomorrow, I will Offer Mass for you and the family. I also forgot where their wedding reception (and yours) was, and Curt texted me that it was at the Palm, which no longer exists. I guess after your wedding they figured they had done it all and said "let's just put up some condos now."
Anyway, I will tal to you soon. And by the way, I still think 8-track tapes are the greatest invention ever.
I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who sets out to depress myself by clarifying the "things from wayback!"
All kidding aside, happy anniversary to Lisa's sis!
